Bollinger squeezes if played correctly can give good trading opportunities, however as a word of caution, the breakout resulting from the squeeze could go either way. It is about making a judgement call based on past 1 month of price moves. For eg: if the SP has been trading in the upper band most of the time in a month the likelihood of it breaking upwards is high, and vice versa.
Look at TPG and Blackmores for instance. I was able to short these based on the squeeze just before the breakout when the pirce crashed. I would not recommend shorting as it is a different ball game and highly risky. This is just to give you and indication that squeezes can work both ways.
With DEG the Sp has been trading in the upper band most times and that is the reason I believe the next announcement's timing will be perfect to trigger the breakout. Lets wait and see, if this turns out as I expect. GLTA. Who knows the announcement could be released tomorrow and we all can have a good weekend.
