I might need to ‘buy’ another hint on that one Daicos. I still watch Adairs, but find Ronan’s and Spargo’s resignations as being too coincidental. I’ve long thought MR would get sucked into the Blundy or Lew vortex, he’s too good a retailer. ADH will be weakened by his departure and they will need to find a gun replacement.
That said, the underlying business thesis is still intact, albeit the enchantment of a total makeover has been blunted at the absolute bottom of an ugly cycle, the likes of which only a person who is 50+ would fully remember its impact. Probably more to come as well. ADH will survive, many won’t. One listed retailer is already receiving the last rites and another, spawned from the breakup of the same stable, has been on life support for quite some time.
