You would think. It's certainly what I would expect. Which raises the question of whether the company is keeping problems under wraps and trying to work through them without being forced to disclose.

I do hope that that's not the case... but it bothers me that it's not a possibility I can dismiss out of hand.

If I had the money - $60 million would do the trick, I reckon (plus another $20-30 million so I wouldn't need a wage and had money to spend on the problem as required) - I'd be tempted to take over the company and try to fix the problems. Granted that my background is in IT, not in manufacturing, so I'd probably make a lot of mistakes, but it does seem like I couldn't do a much worse job of it. It irks me that I'm actually saying this and feeling like it's the truth, considering that this is literally what we're paying them to do.
