And I stand by both that, and my response to your comment: if I did have the money, I'd be seriously tempted to give it a go; but absent that scenario actually happening, I'm really not in a position to take on a directorship. There'd be a fairly steep learning curve for me, as I work in a technical field, not in business, manufacturing, or engineering, so I'd be completely green.
Not a good proposition to take to shareholders, in other words, and not something I'd be willing to do unless I could commit a lot of time to that learning (which I really can't do with my current commitments.)
Absent those dreams becoming reality, about all I can do is hope that management muddles through somehow, or somebody with relevant skills and background puts their hand up to help get things on course.
