Hi McHale, and thank you for taking the time to put your thoughts down. Have to say that from what I’ve seen your posts make a lot of sense.

You raise some fair points, and yes I’ve only looked at activity on LinkedIn, but that was disappointing enough considering Pia’ efforts on non BRN causes. But I can’t get my mind past the announcement to market on Pia’s appointment saying she would add value with strategic commercialisation experience and would be a part time director with only ‘several’ commitments ( she now has 7 current hats including BRN)

Call me old school but I’m also very wary of executives selling themselves as diversity & equal opportunity advocates/champions, personally I’m against quotas instead I’m for picking the right talent for the right role whomever that may be. Unfortunately I fear Pia is one of those diversity crusaders, and that looks to be one of her primary drivers and I don’t think we need that.

Totally agree a mix of Australian & US directors is a good idea given the supposed ‘cultural’ divide, but think we surely should be able to find someone as good if not better who will value add and make BRN their priority rather than BRN just ticking the diversity box.

Bottom line is BRN’s executive performance and overheads will continue to be closely scrutinised particularly while it’s not profitable, and carrying passengers who obviously don’t add value add will only further negatively impact managements standing with shareholders
