Some really uninformed people here.
Cash & shares are normal remuneration for many companies, especially top management & executive. It’s called incentives.
Sadly & incredibly tax is payable on shares component as if it was cash.
Consequently recipients are pretty much forced to sell them or risk a loss.
It’s equally as stupid as Chalmer’s CGT on unrealised capital gains. In fact it’s identical. Appalling law
