EMP has just submitted their NOPSEMA application. The EMP location is approx. 1,000 kms from the PEP11 drill location. The PEP11 detractors suggest "risks to the pristine beaches, tourism (whale watching), and commercial fishing" are the reason not to approve PEP11. The Gippsland region is home to commercial fishing operations, the Ninety Mile Beach, Wilsons Promontory, Phillip Island beaches and it's world famous Penguin colony. The NSW central coast is insignificant in every respect on those comparisons. Are you suggesting there will be no public interest in the EMP drill? Are you suggesting any public interest in the EMP drill will prevent it from proceeding?
