i assume they (VM) wanted to reassure small shareholders the mgt still like the (value/price of the) company so he made some small purchases knowing he would be selling a large parcel to buy his house.
However since 2nd march 2020 VM has purchased (mostly on market with some via share purchase plan) a total of 421,860 shares at a total cost of $2.624 M.
an average cost of $6.22 selling 231,444 @11.13 = $2.575M
so good on him.
i wonder if that was the purchase price or merely the deposit (after paying some capital gains tax) with a mortgage on those low interest rates Nick mentioned above. And the remaining shares (via dividends will pay for the mortgage - along with his salary)
