You are VERY lucky to have this as your first experience. Just ask people that fluked their first few trades, made a mint, then thought they were invincible until the market chewed them up and spat them out, stripping many of all they had. Its actually very common.
Learn from your mistakes.
Invest in people, not ideas.
So many ideas sound great on paper, but very few ever become successful, sustainable businesses.
The best predictor of success is the people in charge....
