I think it's a lot simpler than that, they increased their overall position and bought 15m shares each today, that's a third of todays trading volume at higher than the close price.
To me that's just consolidation and sets a floor price at these levels for moving forward.
My reading of this is great news, directors who essentially revived the company have increased their position.
