Wrong. If a director wants to change their shareholding either by reducing or increasing, they have no obligation to give a reason the market. The only obligation they have is to file the relevant change in interest notice. When you see directors buying shares you don’t see them making public statements. The only criteria is that the purchase or sale doesn’t conflict with ASIC rules or company black out periods. Its always been that way regardless of what you like to think.
