Coordinated buying like this is less about confidence of the directors in the company and more about instilling confidence in the herd. The difference is important.
Most if not all of these people are multi-multi millionaires, and when looked at in that context these purchases are small (and money they can afford to lose).
Parsons has 30M shares and a bunch of performance rights, so added less than 1% to his interest. Tomlinson just sold $6M+ in CDV shares so I doubt is short of a buck.
