I don't think they did it on purpose, if they did then ASIC would come knocking. But sometimes showing a "conservative" or "bankable" case is misinterpreted as a weak set of numbers. There is always subjectivity in presenting numbers, and why overpromise at this stage, just bad timing with POG under pressure and people looking to get rich quick.
