Options are in the money so its a no brainer that he was going to exercise them anyway. The only way he will lose money is if the deal fall through due to funding or the drilling.

IMO there is a big seller who started dumping Wednesday a couple of weeks ago. Started noticing chunks of 1 million shares going through at a time from off screen.

The price has probably come back a bit because of the risk still associated with the project. But once the funding and the drilling are finalised who knows where the price will get to.
