    Here's a theory:
A significant holder, possibly a director, decided to sell about 900,000 shares, to raise cash. Given that this was impossible to do in regular trading, they found a willing Fund to sell to. The seller explained to the prospective buyer why they wished to sell (e.g. they needed the money for personal/business reasons), and also persuaded the buyer that CCP was fundamentally sound and growing. The buyer said something like 'I'm not paying top price' and so they negotiated a discounted price of $7.60. This price was a substantial discount to the recent market high ($8.28) but still a massive rise from a year earlier. So both parties to the deal saw themselves as winners and the agreement was reached. The only thing remaining to do was execution. They chose the auction period at the of trade today. This minimised the undesirable impact of bots or other automated traders . Both parties seem to have got what was agreed.

This theory of course is speculation and we will have to wait until next week to find out.

If a director has sold, then I suspect that without a strong reason why the market will react negatively and we may start next week further south.

An announcement explaining what has before the market opens on Monday seems essential.

    Cheers
    K
