Of course people want directors to have a lot of skin in the game but it's a bit unreasonable to not expect a director may at times need to sell to manage their broader financial affairs, want to lock in some profits, diversify their investments or buy that Maserati they've been wanting.
You can have a lot of faith in a company without being prepared to bet the house on it, and that goes for directors of the company too.
