IMO there's not a poster on HC that is not in this to make money, irrespective of what stock they own.

Nothing speaks louder in the stock market than weight of money and one's "hip pocket".

All those things you have said may be true but IMO whilst SH may believe in VRC, his "hip pocket" suggests that he believes in the company's biggest competitor roughly 10 times more. If he truly didn't then he would sell one to buy the other IMO, that's all there is to it. Forget about tax etc, etc. If one truly believes in something or a company to have that much upside then that's what they would do.

A number of posters on this forum believe VRC to be a $ 1 billion plus company down the track. That's about 15 times where it is today. The other company to be at 15 X its current price would be a $6 billion market cap. If one truly believed in what you have said then wouldn't the upside in VRC be compelling?

As @b4bmm pointed out, it's just too big of a conflict to get past.
