He's a really genuine guy. Actually a self made migrant from Europe who came over with little except his acumen, capacity for hard work and a hunger to succeed. I suppose I should have said his initial training was as a geo, but at Straits as MD he used to joke the geo's liked to keep him away from their work for fear he would fiddle with and potentially try to re- interpret.
If you ask me I think he's:
1) made an interpretation of the stratigraphy and significance fo that remote Eastern hole.
2) made an assessment of the effect of a rosource increase to the numbers men in insto's.
Caveat: I've started a pre-dinner red wine (rose coloured glasses). AKA - IMHO.
