The above article on todays ABC site could have been written about ADO and in fact makes reference that the AMP board and operations disaster is a blue print for other ASX companies. Small s/h,s in ADO have continually received the rough end of the pineapple. With the befenefit of time and hindsight its easy to now see what occurred at the November 17 agm was part of a cynical and successful exercise to take control of ADO while there were cash reserves of about $5m.
Attendees at the agm would have noticed that GC and MS ensured sufficient proxies were held to dump the independent director AS and 4 months later JH and RS both of whom had deep global experience were forced off the board. You might recall the previous independent was dumped in 2017 so is there something that needs to be hidden ?
It must have been a coordinated ring around by 2 directors to collect the 350m votes from the largest s/h,s.
Mission accomplised - board of 3 with potential conflicts of interest , no independence , zero experience for 1 director , 9 years of unfulfilled promises from another and a new chair with unknown capabilities relating to the ADO field , oh and plus an interim ceo on a 3 month contract.
This is hardly an encouraging position given the looming brick wall at the end of the tunnel and complete lack of coordinated communication from any members of the board but then again if you want solace , reread the article and turn to your other shipmates in the small s/h life raft.
