Very poorly thought through remuneration plan. There is apparently someone from the Board on the remuneration committee. How stupid to give sign on bonuses using a long term incentive mechanism such as shares. And Jayne should know better than to accept them knowing she was going to treat them like income.
FWIW, I would take a contrarian view and say there is unlikely bad news to come given she has just done this and needs to build long term confidence from investors. Not sure she would want to kill her credibility in her first quarter given what she has given up at Qantas.
