As for right or wrong? Pretty sure this one is easily classified as wrong.
Many shareholders don’t vote as they feel their votes don’t count, which is often true enough. The problem really lies in officers of the company that try to extract everything they can for themselves with little or no regard for shareholders. We appear to have been bluffed that this bloke came in to save the company from some hidden menace. Appears that he may actually be that menace.
