It would make sense for Emerald/Hawkes Point to launch a hostile binding bid as soon as possible to push up the share price and ensure as many people as possible take up their rights and thus neon etc get less in the underwriting (which they would use to vote down the offer). They could even launch an offer then call/mail everyone on the register encouraging them to take up the rights.
