Reg Weine joins APAL board

Formermanaging director of SPC and current chairman of Longtable Group joins APAL’sboard of directors

Chairmanof Longtable group, Reg Weine, has joined APAL’s board of directors as anon-executive director.

With over 25years’ experience in agri-food and fast-moving consumables, APAL said Weinewould add considerable corporate and brand experience to the strong growingrepresentation on the APAL board.

As chairman ofLongtable Group, Weine oversees the company that owns the Maggie Beer, ParisCreek Farm and St David Dairy brands.

Weine’s previousroles include as the managing director of SPC, and chief executive of BullaDairy Foods, Australia’s largest privately-owned dairy business.

Weine holds aBachelor of Business from Monash University, is a Graduate of the AustralianInstitute of Company Directors (GAICD) and is a certified practicing marketerwith the Australian Marketing Institute.

He is also onthe board of the Starlight Children’s Foundation and is chair of the Nominationand Remuneration Committee.

The APAL boardis made up of six directors representing each of Australian apple-growingstates; Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland, Tasmania andNew South Wales, plus a director for pears, an independent chair and anon-executive director.
