Anyone know why NEA is struggling of late.
The story is that tech was overbought during the initial stages of the pandemic as it was a sector that could continue operating more or less normally during a pandemic, as well as one that should benefit from increased demand.
So there was a decent enough boom in tech stocks which was followed by a correction. NEA's share price has correlated well with the general movement of the tech sector. APX is another tech stock I bought back in March that has done the exact same thing. But overall, the performance of both - and tech stocks generally - has nevertheless been good in the post pandemic stages. I expect that performance for the sector will continue to be good, albeit back to a more normal pace of SP growth from today's base.
NEA revenue growing at around 25% YoY, SP should appreciate at a slightly higher rate than that as NEA approaches profitability in the US.
