I recall reading about him in one or two articles in the now ceased 'Business Review Weekly' of quite a few years ago when I was very young.

Nothing's changed: he remains as astute today as he was then, although coronavirus and particularly politicians' paranoia in Australia and elsewhere must be the biggest challenge SRV has faced.

I love Directors with substantial 'skin in the game'. He also never forgets small retail holders, a huge credit to the man who without going overboard may well be a role model contender for 'how to properly behave in often greedy corporate Australia'.
