Coal is burned to produce electricity and that powers the rotary electric kilns. As a planet we can't afford to continue to power our activity with coal. My fear is that the guys running NIC may be good managers, but are not fully up to speed with the dire straits we're in environmentally, and the drastic curtailment of fossil fuel burning that is about to be required.
