I would not be too concerned about this. There has to be a standard baseline for measurements to compare to. So in the same position, at rest, preferably around the same time of day as well, or how ever often Dr wants you to take it. 24 hour monitoring is a big advantage.
BP fluctuates constantly, but the average or mean is important especially when patients are being titrated on medication & ongoing monitoring (they need to remain ‘between the flags’). What you don’t want to see is huge fluctuations.
Great data out from the recent Artery Society presentation in Europe BTW, differences in measurement were minute, & not physiologically meaningful.
Even by standard manual syphgmo readings, you may get a difference of a 2-4mmHg anyway on constant monitoring or even greater than that, so it’s looking very sound, 40 odd patients a small study, but CDX obviously know what they are doing & what is required for FDA 510K approval. Because they have done this all before.
