The gain will be based on 63k, not 20k. So if you decided to sell before the 12 months you won’t get the 50% capital gain discount. Example 1million shares @ 10c (SP)= $100k
100k-63k (initial investment) = $37k
Hence the full amount of $37k will be added to your income, which will than be tax accordingly. Hope that help.
