These are incentives to retain top talent and usually vested across 3-4 years at a price more or less at the time they are allocated.
The company I work for provides these incentives and I’m glad they do since it’s convinced me to stay much longer and push harder each and every year.
In future it would be nice to see these executed and then money reinvested into Fully priced shares.
