I haven't really been following as am a MLX holder, more than a NC1 fan itself.

However, a word of warning re director buys.
i traded (at a nice loss too ) a company where he purchased well over half a million dollars of on market securities.
At present, he is down 60%.

Hopefully this current NC1 price action IS just a glitch in the matrix, and the management does value the company's future far higher, than we are seeing at present.

Often though , market sentiment can send the SP lower and for longer than you might think, so be mentally prepared to get whacked in the interim.
Even Insiders can become cannon fodder for an amount of time.

'Valuations' mean little in these conditions too, especially if the general market is tanking somewhat, as there are often MANY reasons for a large selldown of what seems a very good company by the register.

At present, there hasn't been a shovel in the dirt, with lots of unknown headwinds that may need to be navigated around, so a general profit take and re-rate might just be happening.

If the company's fundamentals are strong though, simply close the computer and go fishing for a while, then come back in the spring.
No sense letting it eat you up by watching the price drop away.
The market does what the market does, and for as long as it likes, often without any hint of sanity.

One bonus ( if any), is that many other companies are taking a bath too, often with excellent % returns, so it's not an isolated thing right now.

Hopefully, the SP will, in turn turn balance out at some point, with an end to this relentless selling pressure, as I am now patiently waiting to enter for the first time since listing.
