This media statement is speculative at most. A bid never happens prior to any discussions or negotiations, in that case Nuix would be obligated to disclose that they are talking to potential suitors.
It's a different story if its a hostile takeover, which is also unjustifiable for any of TO candidates in the case of Nuix.
But there is something that's piqued investors interest, esp PE firms. It's definitely not retail investors who are accumulating at 20% gain in a day.
