IBX's technology isn't about chemo vs no chemo. It's about (at this stage) identifying lymph node spread in patient's with breast cancer, without doing a sentinel node biopsy. If it works like people are saying it should (i.e. picking up cancers at earlier stage), it'll stop patients having a SNB (removing the first 1-3 draining nodes and the morbidity associated with that, even though it's less these days with SNB than the older method axillary node clearance), but it may pick up MORE lymph node mets because it's able to identify when there's fewer cells, meaning MORE patients will require chemo +/- radiotherapy in order to treat and hopefully cure their disease.
