if i'm reading accurately, John sold 3,852,121 shares for $654,861 (probably also has to pay some tax for that) to exercise 3,852,121 options costing $561,178.
So his amount of script is less 3,600,000; from 19,312,199 to 15,712,199.
Obviously did not have $561,178 lying around idle.
