Late Friday night is always SRT ( Sneaky Release Time ).

The reason they might release these announcements late on Friday night, rather than Monday morning at open, is because they are embarrassed at the rort.

Tonkin gets 840,555 performance shares for FREE, as well as getting paid to do a job like everyone else.

Can you see why they call it a rort.

And can you see why he'd be embarrassed to let anyone know, even though he won't turn them down.
It's because the company share price over the year has gone from $2.18 to $1.15, almost 50% down, and yet the directors are taking performance shares.

The shareholders main question is - WHAT Performance ?

Effectively, these guys set their own wage, and award themselves whatever they want in bonuses, and all of it comes out of YOUR MONEY that you give them.

This is so embarrassing it almost equals the 10 million free performance rights that the board of Meteoric Resources granted themselves today, for spending $20 million of shareholder funds on acquiring a new project, but not quite, because the Meteoric FREEBIES literally crosses over into the category of Obscene Greed (OG), and some of those directors if you look at their history, definitely have form.

It's disappointing though, that Tonkin and the company secretary here at SLR, never had the guts to release the announcement at prime time. It might seem to some, that cowardice and greed goes hand-in-hand.
