MIN have over 50% of NWE, so yes the takeover has been successful from that perspective.
They do not seem likely to get to 90%.
That is the level to compulsorily acquire outstanding shares.
This is where MIN would like to be.
Unless they extend the offer, 80% looks out of reach.
This is very important for everyone who accepted the offer.
If MIN do not get 80% there is no CGT rollover so they will have a CGT event.
75% is the closest target for MIN.
They can apply to dellist NWE.
The other requirements are less than 150 shareholders with $500 worth of shares.
It is extremely unlikely that MIN will be able to delist NWE.
