Given the abject failure of most of the new directors to buy anything much here until now, and nothing since the big shakedown, I’d agree that the buying & filing spree of recent days is most certainly odd and unusual - for Mayne that is. It stands out. What may be usual in other companies has not been usual here, and imo that’s across many aspects of the business over a prolonged period and not just a lack of director on-market share purchases.
Nevertheless I’m sure all of us welcome those buys, and to be fair to @Patrick31 (who a few of you seem to be piling into) he was the first poster to applaud this when the first notices were filed on Thursday. This is positive news, and I fully expect in recent months individual directors been getting the same message loud & clear & direct that a number of us have expressed on HC and other public forums: that actual skin in the game is essential and is expected of a director.
