the annual report refers to “an expectation” that non executive directors would accumulate shares to value of annual remuneration, “over 3 years” from appointment.
it is not mandatory !!! Some of these people are being paid $140,000 to $200,00. There is no way could be forced/expected to spend $50 to $65k (after tax) to buy shares. remember … your heroes rank the company then. Scott and roger the grocer. Did they ever do anything good?
Many non ex directors have been there only 12 - 18 months.
