“Ah cmon Mike, we shook on that one, we were right until November I thought?”
“Well that’s right, we were, but I just crunched the numbers on some of our micro facilities and yours came up with an alert. You see at the factory here we never hold less security than what we have loaned out, and in your case we are a little underwater. I looked at the notes and at the time you told us that IMU was heading north and looking at the chart it looks like you might have led us up the garden path at Carmel a little. Anyway, no trouble, but we will need a couple mill in cash to balance our books by COB tonight.”
“Mike, cmon, I don’t have that lying around, but would you accept 5mill more shares and give me another 3 years?”
”Ok Paul, it’s a deal, 20mill more shares, 2 1/2 years, to be done tonight”.
“Thanks Mike, I thought you still owed me a favour. Oh and by the way, I’ve got a few shareholders getting a bit cranky, you guys won’t be using those 127mill for shorting will you?”
