Nothing says more to the market that the wider perception of a company is poor and for valid reasons than an uber wealthy CEO buying a tokenistic amount of shares to "reflect confidence in, and commitment to, the business". How does this man not get it? His actions will be seen by the market as desperate signalling - if he was confident and committed to the business and wanted to help staunch the evisceration of the SP he'd be buying 100,000 shares. Pre-open already showing another down day - that will make 18 in a row.
