Much as many have high regard for the founder Alf who has created an international business that unlike WeWork, stays solvent and delivers dividends to Australian (and other) SH, this isn't overly impressive.
Hard to believe that "someone" wouldn't mention shares being sold at a family gathering. Possible, but unlikely.
If I was a fly on the wall I might well have heard Alf M utter some of his (in?)famous epithets!
One also expects better of Mark Vaile, not that it's suggested he had anything to do with the matter. Mr Vaile was a very highly regarded Cabinet Minister in a previous Coalition government, and so one would hope the standards of corporate governance he expects at SRV (and WHC) are respected and occur.
