    Salaries are competitive and I think he opted for more bonus less cash because the BOE SP was weaker.
    As far as I'm concerned 75% of CEO salaries are too high but not his.
    Further becase commodity prices are down a number of CEO's aren't earning their options at at above strike price.
    So they are trying to renegotiate new one based. The now lower price.

    An excellent example occured yesterday at the RXM AGM. After failing to secure financing (arguably management's fault), the whole boaard tried for 5,000,000 each at 40c strike (current SP down to 16c).
    SH voted yes for CEO and CFO no for the two executive directors and Chairman who had precious little holdings of their own. Different for NWC where all got new incentive options contracts which would also serve as a partial T/O defence incentivation.

    Sorry if I've wasted your time but I wanted those interested to know what's happening and obviously (?) I'm pleased enough to share with my BOE co-investors. Viz. winners are grinners.
