    This seems more and more like NIMBYism when its mostly farmers objecting. Agriculture has done the most damage to the Cockatoo population. The environmental impact would be small scale by any comparison to farming (esp if it was just a feed for the existing mill) and the economic dividends would be able to assist conservation and provide high paying jobs to both local and indigenous people in a way landowning farmers can't.
