What individuals do with their funds is their concern. The Australian Shareholders' Association (am not a member) suggests after three years of becoming one, Directors ought have shares equivalent to one year's fees.

Nonetheless, there's alignment with institutional and retail SH, so positive. The most important factor is Mr Green's expertise that helps LAU negotiate tricky, unpredictable economic, governmental,. logistical and geopolitical environments.

Covid was an exogenous shock emanating from Wuhan, communist mainland China. Ms Sharri Markson has had much to say via Sky and 'The Australian' on the probable cause but no ASX-listed company Director in July 2019 would have thought from January/February 2020 international and Australian domestic aviation would be curtailed and shipping line container rates temporarily skyrocket.

The recent 20 days Trans Australia Railway closure across the Nullarbor and two day or so Eyre Highway shutdown due to severe floods were more quantifiable as 'risk factors'. The lengthy 20 day closure came as a surprise on a route that LAU uses extensively to rail chilled and other goods to Perth, and hopefully sees some backloading to eastern states.

I'll leave it to others to draw their own conclusions from the below table, but Robert Green with the longest tenure, has the smallest holding:

Interestingly, nearly all recent insider buying has been at a price significantly higher than today's share price:

Also of note is that CEO Clay Mcdonald, whilst in the job only 9 months, does not own a single share. Perhaps he is waiting for a further fall in the share price.
