It's in the Sarawak govt's interest to have the permits requested, approved. Why? Because they want to have a gold refinery opened and running by the time the ASEAN games are open in 2027, acting as a tourist attraction.
They highly support of the BEZ mine to go forward and will approve sooner rather than later. They also visited Canada recently to discuss modern mining techniques to support local mining in the area......
