I did ask MH this question and his reply was they would have to comply with take-over regulations in Canada and Australia.

I then asked him if QM can buy shares on market to increase its holdings above current 30%? He said he believed they can do it but he is not an expert on it.

But if your question is about QM's committed funds so far then the answer is as I quoted before from MH: "We dont owe QM any money. What we owe them is a contractual obligation of the gold deliveries of the contracted quantity at future production stage".
