Hi John,
I was hoping the approval would come much earlier.
From my amateurish investigation, the final approval authority is the Land and Survey Dept of Sarawak. They have sent out 11 requests of assessments and comments from other relevant authorities. 4 others are still pending.
I have been trying to call these authorities and unable to talk to the senior persons in charge. As in previous post, I have asked Tran whether BEZ has some executives in Kuching or Bau to do the 'Face to Face' chasing. His response was positive.
From the announcements it's clear that the critical principal for the approvals have been agreed upon at the top level. Otherwise, Bez would not employ MD for NBG.
It can do wonders to send a local executive who have same cultural background to meet with the local officials and get them put the rubber stamps on!
