What were they thinking??
1. The sun doesn't shine at night
2. The sun doesn't shine when it's cloudy
3. The wind doesn't blow all the time
4. Batteries can't cover the big gaps in the above situations
5. The energy efficiency of both is only 15 - 30%
6. The 'farms' only last 20-30yrs before degrading and requiring total replacement
7. The 'farms' are extremely exposed to adverse weather events, carrying enormous investment risk premium.
