Re CEO compensation, I think just the opposite. Increasing the percentage of shares within total compensation is always better for shareholders as 1) owning more shares increases the ownership of business from CEO and ties the renumeration to performance 2) they are incentivized to increase EPS for their own personal benefit which is inline with shareholder benefit.
