    Why even respond to that dimwit 'driller', even his knowledge on the drilling subject can be completely discarded?
    Maybe he did a bit of rough necking for Colonel Drake.

    He makes it pretty obvious he knows zero about oil and gas production.

    You might as well go to the zoo and start talking with a giraffe, it would make more sense.
