At least the Chair is unequivocally a practicing believer in the role and future of fossil fuels, particularly in Australia, where it is strategically imperative. I hope the rest of the BOD are similarly inclined (Tom certainly is) unlike the boards of AGL & Origin who went woke, lost their spine and couldn't get out of upstream oil & gas quickly enough so they weren't ostracised by their late-sipping, green-tinged social piers.
It will be interesting to see if some of the other BOD & Tom follow suit in the next week or so.
There is a great local niche market opportunity for initial stages of Rafael development & production in the NW of WA with near-monopoly pricing opportunities. This will help attract support for additional exploration successes. Building a critical mass in operations will then be a great base for addressing markets further afield - both domestically and export. Both Tom & DM understand the strategic opportunities and have the right sort of experience and outlook to make it work, in my opinion.
